1. Bring proof from your treating physician

It is strongly recommended that you carry an official document from your doctor stating what medications you are taking and why you need them. This document can be useful in case of questions from customs or airport security and helps to avoid unnecessary delays. From experience, it is not always requested, but in case it does happen, it is necessary to have this document at hand. 

2. Bring proof from your Doctor, Pharmacy and/or Hospital

• Make sure your medications are labeled with your name and the manufacturer's name.

• Medicine cooler bags with frozen cooling elements are permitted in hand luggage.

• Syringes and needles are generally accepted if you have the appropriate medication with you.

3. Where to Store Medication on the Plane?

Generally, aircraft overhead compartments are kept at a constant temperature of approximately 5°C, which is suitable for most medications. However, we recommend always carrying medications in your hand luggage . This way, you avoid problems with your medication in the event of lost checked baggage.

4. Tips for Air Travel with Medication
